Lake Vermilion
Many people will call Lake Vermilion Minnesota's most beautiful lake, besides the beauty, Lake Vermilion offers boating, fishing--both summer and winter, swimming, snowmobiling, skiing and many other activities. Following are some facts on the lake:
- The lake freezes in mid-November with ice-out occurring in late April-early May.
- The lake is well marked with buoys and channel markers for boating navigation.
- During winter, the snowmobiles trails are all marked.
- Fish species include walleye, bass, crappie, muskie, northern pike and perch.
